Running Accomplishments:

I ran 3 Chicago Marathons in 2001, 2002, and 2003. My personal best was a 3:46 in the 2002 Chicago Marathon.

Short-Term Running Goals:

I have really let myself go over the past 5 years. I want to return to form and regain my stride as a serious distance runner.

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to qualify for the Boston Marathon and eventually finish an ironman triathlon.

I started running at the beginning of the year after being sedentary for almost a year prior. I've built my miles back up so now I'm running 5 miles a day for 5-6 days a week. My times have improved as well to the point that I can run an average comfortable mile at 8.5 minutes but range from 7.5 - 9.5 depending on the day. Today I did pretty well running 5 miles in just under 40 minutes.

I have not run a 5K in quite some time but I would say I could get it done in 23 minutes. Oops ... I meant to say 5K sorry!

It was a nice and easy morning run today. Little did I know that I would be laid off today as well! On the bright side, this can only help my training though.

It was a swift but easy run today where I hit the faster end of my mile times while still having breath to spare when I finished.

I started out with 3 very fast miles and realized that I was pushing to hard and wouldn't be able to finish at that pace. I slowed it down and came in easy today.
